PetSafe Stubborn Dog Fence PRF-3004XW-20

The PetSafe Stubborn Dog Fence is a budget-friendly electric dog fence, suitable for containing medium to large dogs from 15kg with a mild temperament. The waterproof PRF-275 Collar Receiver uses a replaceable 9v battery that will last for 3-6 months with average use. 150m of boundary wire is included in the kit and additional 150m boundary kits can be added to the system to cover up to 10 acres.

The PetSafe PRF-275 receiver collar has a factory set medium/high correction strength and has 4 levels of static correction. This may not be suitable for particularly timid/mild temperament dogs. This system is best suited to suburban house blocks and small properties, with no Colorbond fencing.  Please feel free to call if you are unsure of which fence is best suited to your dog and your existing circumstances.

How the PetSafe Stubborn Dog Fence Works

The PetSafe Stubborn  Fence transmitter is plugged into mains power in an area protected from the weather.  The coated boundary wire is run from the transmitter, around the boundary (in-ground or attached to your existing fencing), and returns back to the transmitter to complete the radio signal circuit. The dog wears a receiver collar that picks up the radio signal carried along the wire running around your boundary.  The receiver collar will beep to warn your dog when they enter the correction zone and a safe static electric pulse/correction is delivered if the dog continues towards the boundary.

It is very important to train your dog to understand their new boundary.  Proper training ensures that your dog understands the exact boundary limit and that they must retreat from the fence line when they hear the warning tone. Learn more about training your dog here.
